Our family-run business provides a fully interated, in-house precision engineering, fabrication and machining service to the industrial, sculpture and domestic markets throughout the world.

With expertise in both modern engineering and traditional craft techniques we can master anything in mild and stainless steel. From complex structural building frames to intricate sculptural installations, water tanks and pipework, everything we do is individually hand-crafted and inspected to the highest standards within the industry.

J T Pegg and Sons Ltd have been engineers based in Aldeburgh, Suffolk for the last 100 years. Our family business was founded as a blacksmiths by the late John Thomas Pegg in 1912.

As the years passed the business grew to larger scale smithying, designing and making wrought iron gates and railings. By 1988 the industrial engineering side of the business had been born and differing machines have been acquired to facilitate this change. Guillotining, bending, profiling and welding equipment all assists the fabrication side of the firm, just as lathes and mills enable turning and milling respectively to produce precision engineering to tight tolerances. Working in the water pumping and filtration industries manufacturing baseplates, pipework, filters and many other metal fabrications has required working with many different types of materials such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex Alloys, Aluminium, Copper, Brass and Bronze. Large amounts of work within the construction industry fabricating Steel frame buildings, staircases, fire escapes and balconies has lead us to become steel stockholders of structural steels such as RSJ, UB, UC, SHS, CHS PFC and RSA as well as plates, merchant bar, reinforcing fabric and reinforcing bar.
